Due to recent changes by Google, you must use a USB cable to copy your photos to a computer before uploading them to OpenBenches.
Google have decided to block modern Android phones from sharing photos with embedded GPS locations. This means you cannot upload to OpenBenches directly from your phone.
You can not use Bluetooth, QuickShare, or any other sharing service. Android will remove the geotags if you share a photo. It doesn’t matter if you use Chrome, FireFox, or any other browser. The only way to preserve photo location is to use a USB cable and manually copy the photos to a computer.
We share your frustration and are raising this issue with Google.
